Leather care

Care guide.

Good leather only gets better with age. A few simple habits will keep your piece looking its best for decades.

Condition regularly

Apply a thin layer of leather conditioner every 3 to 6 months. This keeps the leather supple and prevents it from drying out. Use a clean, soft cloth and work the conditioner into the surface in circular motions. Let it absorb for 15 minutes, then buff off any excess.

Avoid prolonged sun exposure

Direct sunlight can fade and dry out leather over time. Store your pieces away from windows and heat sources. If your leather gets wet, let it air dry naturally — never use a hair dryer or place it near a radiator.

Let it breathe

Leather is a natural material that needs air. Avoid storing pieces in plastic bags or airtight containers. Use the cotton dust bag that comes with each piece, or any breathable fabric. Stuff wallets and bags lightly with paper to hold their shape.

Embrace the patina

Your Cuire piece will develop a unique patina over time — this is a feature, not a flaw. The leather darkens, softens, and molds to your body. Oils from your hands, exposure to light, and daily use all contribute to the character of your piece.
